Till we meet again Havana Shamrock ,

Well, as usual all good things must come to an end! And so there is no. more Havana Shamrock. On May,2nd 2012 Havana Shamrock was traded to a Sea Ray dealer in Boston ,Mass. Not to say we didnt love her , we just werent " IN LOVE" with her. All kidding aside we loved that boat she was great to us , took us places we had never seen or made family memories that would have never been remembered. So now our new love is a 2007 Sea Ray 36 Sedan Bridge named "Mirage" she will hopefully take us on more journeys than before due to her bridge helm, seperate shower, salon with tv/ dvd in each stateroom , bow/ stern thrusters. Underwater lights, 2 a/c units and a 7.3kw Kohler genset. To name a few , sure she might be newer, sleeker, fancier than Havana Shamrock , but we will never forget her, she is dear to our hearts, we'll miss miss Havana, Enjoy your new owners.

Summer 2011 updated

I haven't updated the page in a while, so here we go. The summer of 2011 went great on the boat ( mechanically) that is. We mostly stuck to day trips to fire island, sore thumb, or hemlock cove. In August we took our longest trip yet to Montauk where we met up with A bunch of other Boaters from Club Sea Ray. We met two boats in Moriches bay in the morning took the Moriches inlet to the Atlantic ocean. From there we stopped for fuel in Shinnecock Inlet topped off and shoved off for Montauk Point. Montauk Yacht club is where we all stayed the marina was very nice and the surrounding areas where even better. We took the shuttle into town and then the local bus to the lighthouse, and walked around town for a while. Back to the marina where we had to get ready for the "table of the gods" as it's called by the club. These trips or get togethers where put together by other members in the past and they decided to give LI a shot it's been a hit ever since. So much that we all voted to go back this year, except I'm going to try and stay on a few more days and follow some to Block Island. This is what I've been waitng for a multi stop cruise. I feel that we never really get to enjoy having a boat as our schedules seem to hurry things along, but this year will be different. Well that's enough for now I'll try to post pics

Well the boat hit thhe water on May, 06, and i havent seen her since.
I plan on doing alot of maintenance this week to get ready for the Memorial day weekend. The air show at Zachs Bay is great year after year, the blue angels and the Thunderbirds switch every year. This year a stealth bomber is the main attraction, fun day to anchor out with friends and bbq watch the show. I have loose ends to tie up on the boat for the summer, i'm finishing the dashboard re-do (moving things around)and added a new vhf, had the swimplatform re done with some cracks in the face . installing a bluetooth for the phones, and ipad music. hoping for a great season with great weather. looking to spend alot of time on fire island and getting together with other boaters.

Well after taking a well deserved break from the snow it's finally time to start the boat projects for 2011 season!!!!
I have started on a new dashboard with backlighting "from Vector Imaging" and new vhf, dc plugs for ipod etc, so i moved some things around.
I also made new dinghy davits and had the brackets powder coated and they look great.
Bought all my supplies to get her ready for the water, such as an oil changer, bottom paint and new zincs. I'll have a lot to do soon but am looking forward to it.
